If you provide electronic output of FAME user guides, manuals, and publications to a professional printer, include the following guidelines with your printing instructions.

General information about output originals

Orientation
User guides, technical guides, and FAME manuals are printed portrait (vertical) style, front-to-back in the PDF files.

Pagination
Do not print the first two pages of the PDF file. These pages contain legal information applicable to the online versions only.

Each new section in a document begins on an odd-numbered page; a section that ends on an odd-numbered page is followed by a blank even-numbered page in the PDF file. The total number of pages in a PDF file, including the covers, title pages, and all blank pages, is always an even number: for example, 96, 110, 150, and so on.

Page size
FAME user guides and manuals are created in one of two page sizes, either 8.5" x 11" or 7" x 8.5", depending on the document. The User Guide to FAME Populator, release 4.1, rev. 2 is 7" x 9", however, because it is designed for use as online help form within the product.

For example, the Guide to Getting Started: FAME Populator, is 7" x 8.5". The "Guide to FAME Database Servers" is 8.5" x 11". You can determine the page size from the PDF file.

Finish page size	8.5" x 11" Trim all pages to finish as follows: 7" x 8.5" Top margin, so that header is 0.5" from edge Bottom margin, so that footer is 0.5" from edge. The total trim from top and bottom should be 2.5" Left margin, 0.75" from edge Right margin, 0.75" from edge
Binding type	Comb binding, best size.
